AI really changed our lives, and we haven't even realized it. I was at a Bojangles the other day, and it wasn't a person talking to me; it was a robot taking my order. Whenever you just look at simple things like that, it really puts into perspective how much AI is taking over in just normal jobs. It feels like every other day, I'm seeing something online that AI is just taking over a different job position where companies don't have to hire somebody, and they are just using AI and robots to fulfill that position. And it's solely creeping over to almost every field of work, and looking at my major, I'm a media production major, and I want to do something in videography. And when looking at that perspective, I don't know if there's necessarily technology that could take over my job and what I want to do, but in the near future, I could definitely see something taking over that, whether it's a robot holding the camera or the robot has the camera already engraved in it, so it's honestly scary. I think in creative fields now with AI being so prominent, I think you just have to be really, really good at what you do to where AI can't possibly keep up with you, but in the next 10 to 20 years, if AI keeps advancing the way it is, I don't think anybody will be able to compete. So, looking at it from my perspective and how it affects my major, I think I just really have to be good at what I do so that people can't even think, okay, AI would be better than what I'm doing. When looking at communication as a whole, what my major falls under, I think that's a very personable thing, and I don't think that AI would be able to fully take over it, but there are definitely certain positions in communication where I think AI could definitely take over and be easier. At the end of the day, companies save money by building an AI system and not having to pay for AI per hour. You have to pay a person per hour to work for you, but AI once you build it and construct it the way you want it to be, is no, it costs no money. So, there are definitely some positions in communication that AI will take over in the near future.
